PRINCE2 Foundation

The Foundation is the first of the two Projects in Controlled Environments (PRINCE2) examinations you are required to pass to become a PRINCE2 Practitioner.

About the PRINCE2 Foundation training course

The three-day course is your first step towards becoming PRINCE2 qualified. It will give you an introduction to the principles of PRINCE2, help you learn how to use PRINCE2 to manage a project, how to handle risk and quality and how to control change on a project.

The course is designed to equip you to pass the PRINCE2 foundation exam by comprising a mixture of input sessions and examination based practical work. During the course you will take a series of mock examinations and gain feedback on your progress. At the end of the third day you will sit the PRINCE2 foundation exam. The one hour exam has 75 multiple choice questions and the pass mark is 35. The exam papers are marked on the same day by the trainer. Unsuccessful delegates will be able to re-sit the exam on the same day.

To ensure you are prepared fully and get the most out of the course, you will receive a comprehensive pre-course reading pack. You should aim to do a minimum of six-eight hours pre-course reading. Delegates should expect to undertake about two hours of revision work and exercises in the evenings.
